MORU began with a simple frustration: most lighting in modern homes is an afterthought. Bright when it should be warm. Generic when it should feel personal. Built to be cheap, not to be kept.
We started with one product — the Aura ambient light — and one standard: if it wouldn't feel at home next to a piece from Sonos or Aesop, it doesn't leave the studio.
What we believe
A home should feel considered, not decorated. Light is one of the few design choices that changes how a room feels, not just how it looks — and yet it's the one most people never think about twice.
MORU exists to change that, one object at a time. We design for the quiet moments: the end of a long day, a slow morning, the hour when a room needs to feel like somewhere you actually want to be.
Where we're going
Aura is our first product, not our only one. MORU is being built as a home for a small, growing family of considered objects for modern living spaces — lighting first, with more to come.
